I was reminded of that while making a personalised doorstop for a couple recently. It’s practical, but with their surname worked into the design, it becomes something made especially for their home.

Instead of asking, What do people normally give as a wedding gift? ask what would suit this particular couple.

While making the Venter doorstop, I was reminded again that a wedding gift doesn’t have to be complicated.
